Home of the Earls of Lichfield. This grand 17th century
house contains collections of china,silver,paintings
and furniture. The idea is to restore the estate to
a 19th century working estate. There is already a working
laundry and brewery.
National Trust members are allowed free access to the
house but do need to pay for car parking and acccess
to other events or exhibitions due to the fact that
Shugborough is financed and administered by Staffordshire
County Council.
There are Tea rooms, a shop and picnic sites as well
as a farm. Events run throughout the year and there
is normally plenty to see and do at Shugborough.
