Visitors to the Big House

The Big House receives a number of visitors from the local community, other parts of the UK and from abroad. We actively welcome visits by historians, local interest groups and particularly encourage school children to take an interest in the activities of the Council and the Mayor. We welcome the opportunity to show your group around. However, due to the fact that this is a working environment we do request notification in advance. We do our best to make the tour interesting and welcome any new information that you may have regarding the history of the Big House or any of the items that we have on display. Please do take the time to call back on a regular basis and refer to our events section to see what is happening at the Big House.
