Haden Hill House [ Black Country Society ]
Haden Hill House, as seen today, is Victorian, built in 1878 by George Alfred Haden - Haden Best (1839-1921). The Haden family had owned the surrounding land since the 13th century and built the adjoining Haden Hall from the 17th century onwards.

Museums [ Sandwell Council ]
Sandwell has five museum sites - Oak House, Haden Hill House, Wednesbury Museum & Art Gallery, Bishop Asbury Cottage, and Tipton Community Heritage Centre.

Oak House [ Birmingham UK Com ]
The Oak House was donated to the people of West Bromwich by Alderman Reuben Farley a victorian of influence in the town who had been elected mayor five times by the people of West Bromwich.

Oldbury [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Oldbury is the chief headquarters of the Borough's Council House. Quite rightly too as Oldbury is the centre of Sandwell and sports a proud and prestigious new council complex that demonstrates the changes taking place in Oldbury today.

Rowley Regis [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Rowley Regis grew in a similar way to Oldbury and Smethwick and was just a collection of scattered rural communities. The Industrial Revolution changed all that and the town grew rapidly as a result.

Rowley Regis Online [ Rowley Regis Com ]
Rowley Regis Online was launched in April 2002 and is a community web site focussing on the town of Rowley Regis in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. The site aims to provide news relating to Rowley Regis and the surrounding areas and offers members of the Rowley Regis community a platform to share their news, views and memories.

Sandwell Park Farm [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Sandwell Park farm occupies a place within the 2000 acres of the Sandwell Valley Country Park. Originally home to the Earl of Dartmouth who lived nearby at the now demolished Sandwell Hall.

Smethwick Today [ Smethwick Today Com ]
An exciting new web site highlighting the renaissance of Smethwick through a multi-million pound regeneration drive is set to be unveiled at a hi-tech launch event.

Smethwick [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Smethwick is rumoured to take its name from 'Smith's Workplace' or place where the Smith's live and work. In the Domesday book it was recorded as 'Smedeuuich'.

Tipton [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Tipton was once part of the Royal Forest of Cannock. This may suprise some people as present day Tipton has very little in common with Cannock and nothing to show from its association.

Warley [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Warley gets its name from "Waer-wulf's Ley" which later became corrupted to Werneleye and then Wernley. Warley used to be a county Borough in its own right before its merger into the Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in 1974.

Wednesbury [ Birmingham UK Com ]
Wednesbury is situated in Sandwell. It is close to Walsall and has easy access to the Black Country route and the main road network. This part of the Black Country is well known for its engineering history and its contribution to the Industrial revolution.

West Bromwich [ Birmingham UK Com ]
West Bromwich, "the little village on the heath of broom" from which it gets its name, was the property of William Fitz Ansculf of Dudley Castle. West Bromwich has the remains of a Benedictine Priory which dates back from 1130 and which suffered as most did in the dissolution of the monastaries in 1525
