The Memoirs of Michael Pennington

Credits - A Tribute to Michael Pennington ( Deceased )

True to his word we received the transcripts that Michael has promised - in a word document!. Michael insisted that we pay tribute to the contributors, sceptics and believers alike. We can find no other way of doing this that is more fitting than including some of the articles here in this section. If we have missed you out we apologise. Here are some of the extracts from the Message Forum as they were written by the contributors.

Hey Michael, don't worry you are not causing a fuss we on "most haunted" are just really interested in what you have to say. I have certainly never read anything like this before and I doubt the cameras will be around your place. On the show Derek goes round some places for a chat with the spirits there, so if you ever fancy a chat let us know. http://birmingham.pagina.nl

I have to admit that the only spirits I have come into contact with have been in a bottle, so I am very sceptical. I also find it hard to believe you watch the soaps while being dead as that would be my idea of purgatory! www.unexplained-online.co.uk

I have just spent the last hour reading this thread.Hello Michael.I would love to believe you are for real. There may be another way for you to communicate. It's called E.V.P. I can't remember the exact details but it involves cassette recordings.Do you think I could communicate with spirits who have passed over by leaving a word document open on my P.C.?I'm sure that there is a presence in my house. Best Wishes Janet

Hello Michael, I have been following your Memouirs and find them quite facinating, I personally hope that what you say is true and you are who you say you are ,And hope that you get justice for those persons who killed you. I am sceptic but like you say no one knows exactly who or what is out there I will sit here with an open mind and wait for your next installment Michael. for now all the best. Love & Light - Tracy

I'm also a Ghost. I awoke as usual one morning back in 1982 to discover my bedside clock had stopped at exactly 3am in the early hours of the morning and had a rather unusual feeling in my head. I got myself up and made my way to the bathroom for a shower, while looking into the mirror it was then that i saw it! Looking at my head in the mirror my right temple area was stained with dried blood. I took some tissue to remove some of the dried on blood when it was then that i noticed a triangular marking around my temple. Startled and looking through the mirrors reflection from the bathrooms open door i could see my bed.... who was that lying on my own bed! I started to walk towards the bed and as i reached the bed was in shock at what i saw! On taking a closer look and thinking to myself how can this be possible i was looking down on myself and seemed to be soundly sleeping. I was in total disarray and confusion at this time all kinds of thoughts going through my mind. I have a few things to do now.

Even Ghosts have things to do and so will continue the rest of what happened to me tomorrow.

Michael, I would like to thank you for all that you are sharing, I will admit I'm in two minds, part of me wants to believe but of course there is the other part that doesn't, I'm sure in your altered state you can appreciate this. I don't want to ask you any questions just yet but I would like to say to everyone who is just clearly taking the mick, if they wouldn't mind just bogging off and let him finish properly!!! If you think it's a hoax fine, but once you've read the word hoax once you've heard it ...well at lot more than once.

I will enjoy hearing what else you have to say Michael, and if my sceptisism is wrong then I apologise in advance. I must also be slightly critical, but your style of writting appears to change slightly towards this end of your story compaired to the begining? Are you writting it as your picking up phrases, or in deed are you more comfortable?

Hello there. Did you get a chance to confirm that Michael's Professorial friend at GCHQ has answered questions to your satisfaction? After all, you asked for proof and it was provided in no small way. "It's not like walking round a frikkin park" - fantastic

Hi, my name is Brendan and I run the supernatural world, a website based on supernatural and paranormal phenomena. I take the subject seriously but that's not to mean I believe everything I read.I have written publications on the subject and find that the biggest problem with the stigma still attached to such topics is the rather far fetched stories we come across. This for me is as tall as they come, well written and extremely intriguing, but far fetched none-the-less. From what I have seen on this forum, and I am a newcomer, you seem a great bunch of folk who have a nice friendly community going.Have you ever thought what lies behind the mind of a person telling you such tales? As far as writing goes this is a great piece of fiction, and I should know, I see plenty on my site.As for reality, well you make your minds up.I am looking forward to the next installment though. best regards, phenomenon:

No need to answer just a couple of observations. When you type, and move over the keyboard, do you push the keys. This would make the key appear in the windows input buffer and onto the relevant application. You may alternatively "know" the ascii code for the lettering and be able to transmit it down the wires, or onto the circuit board. When you switched the lights on, did you move the light switch. This would be required to make the contact and allow the electricity to flow round the circuit.... Hmmm Finally the only way I can see to change the font is by moving the mouse over the Font size tab and changing it as well the Bold button. How do you manage to move the mouse. This intrigues me. You may be able to change the frequencies of the inputs going down the cable. Not knowing how the electrical field is influenced by spiriI dont know how this is possible. Just a couple of observations. Still like the concept / story / intrigue so far. I am lucky enough to have a mind that enquires about things, and also loves a great story, and to use my imagination. Keep it up. Please.

Where has my posting gone? Either someone has removed it or there was a fault with this message forum. Whatever happened to free speech?. Michael - Could you please contact me. I work for a local newspaper and I think what you have to say here is ground breaking material. I can help you publish this excellent work and I have already got a publisher interested. We could also arrange for free copies for your readers on this message board if this is your wish. I will be back in the office tomorrow and would very much like to hear from you. Please contact me. Michael, I have only been made aware of this today and have spent the last 5 hours reading every single comment....i think you are real...there is far too much decriptive writing here which contains feeling for it not to be...and i am sure your name is going to live on for a very long time with the fab base you have established in such a short space of time..i am sorry as hell as for what happened to you all them years ago and i like many others can only hope that justice will prevail. If there is one thing i have learnt from you tonight it is that life is to short and many of us take this for granted...you mentioned about not being able to spend time with your parents before their passing and watch you family grow....i can't imagine how this must have felt....

Some people are scared of some things which they dont understand and thus may result in them taking the piss as it has been proven....BUT there are geniunely a lot of people very very interested in your story and the reason you are still able to tell it... Good Luck to you Michael Pennington...and if there is anyhting I or we can do for you please do not hesitate to ask. Although we would like to know more about what is going on in a factual way...i am quite happy for you to tell it as it is....dont let some of the idiots who have been replyhing to you put you off you have a lot of support Chris

I've been reading this forum for the last couple of days. Only tonight I decided to add my tuppence worth. Firstly if Michael wanted us to believe he was a real spirit surely it would be easier to "hook" us with tales of moving through walls and other stereo-typical ghostly behaviour? He denies these abilities. And he doesn't know why he can't do them. Secondly, those of us who feel the need to chip in with "hoax" messages, surely you can find better things to do with your time? Hey, we do, (apparently) live in a democracy and I'm all for free speech but name calling and put-downs are not what people who enter a forum are looking for. It's a "discussion" forum. (There's a clue in the title people) The train is already out of control. There's a link on the Fortean site! I fear it's only a matter of time before Richard, Judy, Yvette and Fern are attempting "live' contact! If this is a hoax then the originator should be applauded for the most original ghost story to appear on the net.

If it's real, then Michael I appeal for one last message then I would advise you to withdraw from the limelight for a while and let the furor die down until you feel safe to go public again. And indeed if this is Michael Pennington who died in 1971 then please accept my deepest regret for what you have gone through. I want to believe. (This Discussion Group does not endorse, agree with or can assert 100% accuracy of Ghost's readings) (We do however give a Money-Back-Guarantee with ADMIN's prophecies.)

I've been reading this thread all night and I'm very impressed by michal's story, personly it dosen't matter to me weather he is a ghost or not, I've found his posts very enjoyable Michale- I have actully seen a something that looks like how you discribe how you see Jack (and how jack sees you) it was only there for a split second but it was there. If you are a hoxer than you might have hit on something by accident, there.

this is just great
ive been reading on this post since day one, ever since pat asked the first question on ghosts, and now i feel so disapointed that we will probably never get to read the remaining memoirs of micheal , like a lot of ppl i have stayed in the background and not posted because i was more interested reading the memoirs micheal was writing than continually questioning micheal, please dont take offence at this but the questions should have really come later after micheal finished his memoirs, and as for the reporter who seems to have instigated micheals departure he should be ashamed of himself for not respecting micheals wishes in the first place ,if he had cared to read micheals post from the begining he would have known that micheal was serious about leaving ,and now he's spoilt it for the rest of us as well as him self so to u press_office all i can say to u is thanks a bunch (not)

With regards to people worldwide following this story - I think that people have shown remarkable restraint in order to encourage Michael to continue to post. This thread has received in excess of 12,000 views in a few days but only a few people have posted publicly. This is only my second public post despite following things from the start. I kept quiet because I didn't want add to the possible chaos and I'm sure many others worldwide were also acting courteously for the same reason. So, while it's an awful shame that the media may have gotten hold of this and frightened Michael away, I think kudos are due the users of this forum for their overall restraint. And THANK YOU MICHAEL for a very enlightening and enjoyable week! An idea, like a ghost . . . must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself. - Charles Dickens
