Fort Dunlop, the site of the former tyre factory which was built in 1916 was left derelict for years until money became
available through Advantage West Midlands the Regional Development Agency. This used to be one of the world's largest
factories but it is now destined to become the latest icon in the growing number of sites being converted to retail and
multi purpose use.

From the M6 or on-route to Castle Bromwich you cannot fail to notice one of Europe's largest permanent billboards.
With £50 million earmarked for this landmark we can expect something spectacular. With offices, retail units and a hotel, the
complex is due to open towards the end of next year ( 2006 ). The developers Faithful & Gould are the same company that worked on
Brindleyplace.
