English Heritage       





English Heritage invests over £35 million every year in the conservation of Britain's heritage. Many ancient monuments, castles and abbey's fall under the protection of English Heritage. Whilst the National Trust tend to concentrate on historic buildings too, as well as National Parks, English Heritage are involved in the preservation of ancient ruins as well as more recent campaigns to protect the National Inheritance in some of England's most deprived areas.

English Heritage historic properties have seen over 80 million visistors since 1990. Many historic events, exhibitions and entertainment venues take place throughout the year at English Heritage sites throughout the country.
