Age
Concern Birmingham has been in existence in one form or another
since 1986, providing services to older people within the city of
Birmingham. In February 1987, the organisation registered as a Company
Limited by Guarantee [Charity No. 518610].
The
organisation has changed and grown over the years and now employs
approximately 60 members of staff and utilises the resources of
approximately 112 volunteers. Following a Head Office move in 2001,
staff are now located in rented accommodation in Centro House, Summer
Lane, Birmingham.
Conference & Training
Facility
Within Centro House, Age Concern Birmingham are now able to offer
a large and newly fitted Conference/Training facility to outside
organisations from all sectors from £75 per day.
The
room can comfortably seat a maximum of 24 people boardroom style
and up to 45 max people theatre style. We can also offer two further
syndicate rooms to complement the larger facility or as a smaller
alternative to the large room. Overhead projector and flipchart
[both free], and TV/Video and Video Projector can all be provided
on request, as can full catering facilities.
There
is ample on-street parking around Centro House at very reasonable
cost. Centro House is fully wheelchair accessible and disabled parking
spaces are available on request.
