The Bonded Warehouse - Stourbridge

Whilst not a major attraction this is one of those places that is definately worth a visit. The Stourbridge Arm features a restored bonded warehouse that was built in 1179 and extended in 1849. It is used as a meeting place for local societies and those that wish to hire its facilities. A bonded warehouse is where taxable goods would have been held until payment had been made by the importer.

This is a grade II listed building right on the Stourbridge canal which was constructed by Thomas Dadford in 1779 with 20 locks and 8 miles in length. You can take a trip on one of the canal boats for hire at this location.
