Why do we do this?

We get a large number of requests from marketing companies and affiliate websites both here in the UK and abroad or a wide variety of programs promising commission and reward for advertising their websites. Few of these actually work and involve a lot of time consuming effort in setting them up. With a few notable exceptions we do not endorse affiliate programs.

We have found affiliate programs frustrating and time consuming. In many cases referrals and commissions have not been honoured. The goods being advertised are often not UK based and little control or regulation on the sales practices exist. Many affiliate programs close as quickly as they have opened leaving us to scour our website to remove them.

If you are a West Midlands based company and wish to advertise on our website then please feel free to apply for the Directory listing. This is the best way of advertising your goods. Under no circumstances do we advertise or endorse sales sites outside of the UK or the West Midlands region.

What do I have to do to add my website to Birmingham UK?

All you have to do is complete our enquiry form and confirm that you wish to have your website added to the Birmingham Directory. This will not cost you a penny if you have a link back to Birmingham UK Com or place one of our banners on your website. This link back needs to be in place before we will consider your entry. You should always specify which category and page that you wish to be entered under. Multiple links are not allowed unless you are paying for advertising or you feature Birmingham UK Com extensively on your website.

This is one of the largest independent West Midlands websites. We receive over 3000 unique visitors a day. For the technically minded our website has a monthly bandwidth usage of around 10GB. It's a busy site.

What happens if I am accepted?

If your website fits into one of our many categories, and we are able to give it a placing, your website should normally be listed within 14 days. We do not send out confirmations of listings but you can always check by running a search on the internal search engine.

We do not advertise websites that contain adult content. Under no circumstances will adult websites be accepted. We are particularly interested in West Midlands based websites. These will always be given priority.
